Not so long ago, if you wanted to see someone’ s wedding photos you’ d go to their house and leaf through an album on the coffee table. But now, couples are choosing to have their content captured – and shared – in a totally different way. According to a 2025 wedding trend report, searches for content creators had increased by 586 % from the previous year. That’ s a lot of nearlyweds looking to have their days documented in a different way. So what’ s driving this shift?
“ I think couples just want to experience it again, properly” says Lizzie, content creator at Reels of Content.
“ Not just the key moments, but everything around them, the atmosphere, the energy, how it all actually felt. Content gives you that in a really natural way. It’ s less polished in a traditional sense, but in a good way. It feels more honest, which I think people really connect with now.”
