Chloe’ s parents manage The Barn in Tunbridge Wells so it’ s a place that has always been very special. It’ s where she was Christened too!
We wanted an intimate wedding for about 80 of our closest friends and family, so we decided to have this at Wadhurst Castle and arranged a vintage double-decker bus to transport our guests back to The Barn for dinner and dancing.
‘ Our registrar came from Kent to Sussex specially’
My favourite moment of the ceremony would have to be when my mum did a personal reading for us with some sage advice on marriage … and when I married David of course! We were also lucky enough to have a family friend, Debbie, as our registrar, who came over the border from Kent specially for us.
‘ We made a last minute decision and it paid off’
Just a few days before the wedding, we decided to book Abigail Scott to sing during the wedding breakfast and we’ re so glad we did! She has an amazing voice and it created such a wonderful atmosphere in the restaurant.
‘ Chloe’ s dad was in charge of the décor’
Philippe( Chloe’ s dad) was in charge of all our décor, and he was up until 1am decorating The Barn for us on the morning of the wedding. He also helped choose the bouquets and table arrangements. Our florist said it was a first for her to see a bride’ s father getting so involved in the flowers!”
