The Story Behind The Shot

Captured

IN Kent

“ I’ m drawn to the quiet moments as much as the big ones: the nerves before the ceremony, a shared look, the energy on the dance floor later that evening.”
Richard Grebby, RG Studios

Wedding videography, for me, is about storytelling, capturing the feeling of the day as much as the events themselves. I’ m drawn to the quiet moments as much as the big ones: the nerves before the ceremony, a shared look, the energy on the dance floor later that evening. My approach is largely natural and unobtrusive, allowing moments to unfold, but I’ m always ready to step in with gentle direction when it helps.

Alongside weddings, I also work across more cinematic projects, including music videos and short films.
That background shapes how I shoot weddings- from how I frame moments, to how I use movement, light, and music to build atmosphere. It’ s not about turning a wedding into a film set, but about bringing a sense of story and emotion into the way the day is captured.
I still include a small amount of posed work, particularly during portraits, and I work closely with the photographer to keep things relaxed and flowing.
That collaboration helps the day move smoothly and gives couples space to enjoy it without feeling overly directed. Away from the wedding day, my 800 sq ft studio is where I get to meet couples properly. It’ s a place to sit down, talk things through, and get a real sense of what matters to them. Those conversations shape how I approach each film long before the cameras come out, and they’ re a big part of why every wedding film ends up feeling personal.
