Structures Quizlet
Objective: In this activity we challenge the students to identify types of structures, structural
elements and types of stresses.
This is an activity for 12 and 13 year old students. The activity is designed for a 55
minute session.
A computer and several mobile phones are required (one per student). Every device
must have internet connection.
Concepts under development:
Structures vocabulary and Concepts.
Information and communications technology (ICT).
Social abilities.
Procedure:
First, the teacher will have to folollow the link:
https://quizlet.com/_65q2x1
And go to “live” to create the contest.
Then, using their mobile phones or tablets, the students will have to connect using an explorer
to the web: https://quizlet.com/live and insert the code provided by the application. They will be
asked to write down their names.
In an automatic way the application will generate the teams to play.
The winner will be the first team to solve twelve equations in a row. If a mistake is made the
score is reset.
Please, note that only one answer is right per team. Therefore, information must be shared
between the members of each team.
