A
n established Durham roofing
and building company is
expanding its expert services
into commercial and corporate
properties.
Family firm J&C’s Roofing and Building
Services specialise in all areas of flat roofing,
from complete re-roof projects, repairs and
rooflines to roof conversions, establishing
their reputation as reliable contractors to
domestic clients, property management
companies and private landlords in the
Durham area.
Brothers Jamie and Cresswell Welch set
up the company at Glenburn House in
Sherburn Road, Durham, nearly five years
ago and the duo, who now have more than
55 years combined knowledge, have largely
concentrated their services on domestic
households, including renewable energy
projects in solar power.
Now, with eight staff and a new fleet of
vehicles, J&C’s are aiming to extend their
wealth of expertise to cover commercial
properties. A new-look website and social
media platforms have also been launched.
With record rainfall levels across the
country already in
winter 2019-20, roofing
renovations and repairs
are becoming an
increasing headache
for businesses and
this Durham firm
have already worked
on major corporate
contracts.
The first North-East
roofing company to
use the Resitrix SK
flat roofing system, which provides state of
the art waterproofing without the need for
a full roof replacement, J&C’s have recently
completed large projects using the product
at Henderson Doors factory in Bowburn,
Self-Store in the Durham Business Centre,
Meadowfield and Avara Foods plant near
Lincoln.
Director Jamie Welch said: “With our
experience and expertise, we have already
carried out significant commercial contracts
and we can undertake major projects and
there is scope for us to expand and offer our
services and good solutions to the business
community.
“We will always be happy to help with
roofing services across Durham and the
North-East.”
