Housebuilder to construct 450 + North-East homes in 2023
A
housebuilder is set to continue investing in the North-East in 2023 , with a move to a new , larger regional head office and construction of more than 450 homes .
The move to Miller Homes ’ new 7,500 sq ft office at Cobalt Business Park coincides with the firm ’ s plans to start construction at a number of sought-after sites across County Durham this year .
The exclusive Seaham Garden Village development is just one of the housebuilders ' ambitious projects for 2023 , with Miller Homes delivering 375 new-build homes to market as part of the scheme .
Work will also begin on Bishops Walk , on the outskirts of Durham city centre , with both developments offering a range of two to five bedroom homes aimed at customers from all walks of life , from first time buyers
Durham firm reaches 100th onshore wind turbine landmark
Renewable energy developer Banks Renewables has reached a major milestone after completing the erection of its 100th onshore wind turbine , which is also the tallest and most efficient ever seen in the UK .
County Durham-headquartered family firm Banks Group reached the landmark at the site of its Kype Muir Extension Wind Farm , a 15-turbine scheme in South Lanarkshire .
To mark the occasion , Banks Renewables to second steppers and those looking to downsize .
Construction has also begun on phase two of its popular Stephenson Meadows development , on the outskirts of Newcastle , with phase two of the Longridge Farm scheme in Bedlington to get underway in early spring .

The Langley Moor site , which makes a significant contribution to the local economic landscape , has been bought by a confidential private investor based in London and reflects a net initial yield of more than eight per cent .
Skillion Business Centre , which comprises of a refurbished multi-let industrial block , external yard areas and a parade of small workshops , was sold by a local private investor .
