Age: 17½- 24 * * Civilian candidates must enter MIOT before their 25 th birthday.
QUALIFICATIONS
You will need a minimum of 5 GCSEs( or acceptable equivalents including Functional Skills L2) at a minimum of Grade C( Grade 4 to 5 with effect from Aug 17), including English Language and Mathematics or Scottish National 5( Grades A – C) in 5 subjects including English Language and Mathematics. The Scottish National 5 Application of Mathematics( AoM)( Grade A-C) is also accepted.
In addition, a minimum of 64 UCAS points( made up from a maximum of 3 qualifications, Minimum of 27 UCAS for at least 1 qualification), which can be accrued from A / AS Levels( or equivalent), T-Levels, or National Diplomas( such as BTECs / NVQs).
Alternatively, if you hold a UK degree at Grade 2:2 or higher you only need Mathematics and English Language GCSEs( or acceptable alternatives) at a minimum of Grade C( Grade 4 to 5 with effect from Aug 17) or Mathematics and English Language Scottish National 5( Grades A-C).
RESIDENCY
Whether or not you were born in the United Kingdom, you should normally have resided there for the 10 years immediately preceding your application, but candidates with a minimum of 7 years may be considered.
If you have resided abroad for a period within this timeframe, dependant on the circumstances you may still be eligible on a case-by-case basis
NATIONALITY
You must be a citizen of the United Kingdom or holder of dual UK / other Nationality.
