BRIDGE – Cross Over Obstacle - DESCRIPTION
LEVEL 1: From Start Cone, walk over bridge. Exit.
LEVEL 2: From Start Cone, walk to midpoint of bridge, stop for 3 seconds and walk off bridge. Exit.
LEVEL 3: From Start Cone, walk to end of bridge, stop 3 seconds. Backup to midpoint of bridge. Stop. Walk forward off bridge. Exit.
The horse and rider are scored on their partnership while performing obstacles. ETS obstacles are based on one of 4 skill sets:
CONFIDENCE – these obstacles test the partnership of rider & equine while performing the following maneuvers:

HORSEMANSHIP – these obstacles test the horsemanship skills based on forward and backwards movement

EXAMPLE OF THE MANEUVER
Backing a pattern such as an ‘L’ shape.
Trotting in a circular pattern
BRIDGE – Cross Over Obstacle - DESCRIPTION
LEVEL 1: From Start Cone, walk over bridge. Exit.
LEVEL 2: From Start Cone, walk to midpoint of bridge, stop for 3 seconds and walk off bridge. Exit.
LEVEL 3: From Start Cone, walk to end of bridge, stop 3 seconds. Backup to midpoint of bridge. Stop. Walk forward off bridge. Exit.

CIRCLE TROTS – Forward Movement - DESCRIPTION
LEVEL 1: From start cone, walk a circle (or oval) around all three cones, then trot a circle (or oval) around all three cones.
LEVEL 2: From start cone, trot a circle (or oval) around all 3 cones, continue trotting another circle around the closest two cones. Stop. Exit.
LEVEL 3: From start cone, trot a circle around all 3 cones, continue trotting another circle around the closest 2 cones, then a smaller circle around the center cone only. Stop, exit.
