"Lippitt Morgans are small,

hardy horses that trace back

on all lines of their pedigree

to 25 foundation horses who

were chosen by the founding

Lippitt Club members as

possessing original type

(true to Justin Morgan).

These descendants carry a

high percentage of Justin

Morgan blood, and like Justin

Morgan himself are known

for their hardiness and

athleticism. They are known

for outstanding stamina and

being real "go getters". Many

enthusiasts enjoy their

horses outside the ring

where these horses really

show their mettle. There are

some fantastic Lippitt

breeders who breed true

using horses, breeders who

make great use of their four

legged family. Okan Morgans

are great examples of this,

who show their horses both

in the ring and out

in the great

outdoors,"

Our lunch stop at the end of the trail, the location of the removed bridge. It was here that we had an up close and personal proof that if a tree falls in the woods it DOES make a sound!

Photo left: Don clearing the trail. The banks were too steep and rocky on either side to continue without cutting out a section of tree. The horses would have been happy to try though.
