Many of us love to cook and prepare fabulous dinners in the clubroom where we spend the evening talking about our day. Sometimes we play games too. Most everyone is elated with the progress they have seen from their horses and can’t wait to do it again!!

The overnight accommodations are extraordinary. Lots of clean, nice guest rooms at a reasonable price. For the most part, rooms are decorated in equestrian motiif which makes you feel like a kid at camp! If you want to stay in your camper that is fine too. Most anything works at Bolender Horse Park!

After participating in some of the “Ladies Nights” and “Ladies Weekend’s,” my girlfriend’s and I collectively felt the urge to participate in their very fun and social IMTCA Challenge Series. It is so enjoyable taking all we have learned to another level where we get to compete with others. The idea of competition makes us “fine tune” what we have already learned in terms of pace or entering an obstacle correctly. Holding the rope without dropping it when hand walking which has been my problem, are just a few examples. The Bolender’s put on a few of these challenges each year and in the end, there are high point awards.

Bolender Horse Park is open all year round. I have some friends including myself who go in the winter simply to have something fun to do since general trail riding seems to come to a screeching halt for most of us because of the dreary weather. The sun always seems to shine at the Bolender’s!
