Mounted Archery Association of the Americas (MA3) presented three clinics during the weekend with students then having the opportunity to rank with the association upon achieving the required skills. Three students successfully ranked during the event; Amanda McGinty, Jessica Ouchi and Alexis Jones.

For most of the students, the event was their first exposure to archery, they all made remarkable progress due to the coaching and instruction provided. One of the students, Jessica Ouchi, sister to instructor Joey Ogburn, shot a horse bow for the first time during the Friday clinic of the event, first learned the thumb release style of shooting and she hadn't cantered on a horse in about 20 years. She was able to do all that and rank in three days!

COVERED ARENA DEMOS

On Saturday morning participants were treated to a performance by the Country Tough Drill Team, who put on an exciting and well choreographed routine thoroughly enjoyed by a large crowd of spectators. Following the drill team, mounted archery instructors gave a wonderful demonstration of their proficient skills and passion for the sport. Among the team of instructors are national and international champions in the field of mounted archery. The demo was a thrill to watch and provided in-depth information about the sport.
