endangered horses in one setting. A few of the events include:

The Lippitt Club Show: held each August at the historic Tunbridge, VT World’s Fairgrounds. The event is a 3 day event with open dressage and two days of Morgan Horse Classes and numerous Lippitt only classes highlighting the Lippitt Morgan. A beautiful location and great place to see lots of Lippitt gathered in one place. Classes include in hand, performance both under tack and in harness. There are also several trotting races.

Pacific Northwest BC Morgan Show: the Lippitt Club sponsors several classes at this wonderfully run show for Lippitt and half Lippitt Morgans. Held at the end of May in Washington State.

Vermont Morgan Heritage Days: The Club sponsors Lippitt classes and championships at this July show.

Equine Affaire: The Massachusetts extravaganza held in November has been home to a Lippitt Club booth and several breed demonstrations for several years

Spring and Fall Meetings: the Club hosts two meetings each year and are a great place for everyone to get together and share ideas. Past meetings have included nutrition seminars, foal handling workshop, and farm tours. One meeting even included a special carrot cake for the farm Lippitt matriarch!

Club sponsored year-end awards, including the coveted Lippitt of the Year Award for a Lippitt garnering public

Trailblazers: a Club program where members earn points for the miles they ride their Lippitt Morgan. At certain point levels, cool awards such as hats and jackets are earned. As members reach a level they are also featured in Club news. A great way to track, record and gain recognition for time spent with their four legged friend!

While you are making all your New Year’s resolutions and plans, we hope you have planned lots of equestrian adventures. We’d love for you to join us over at the Lippitt Club.

Why join? The Lippitt Club is full of passionate individuals want to help preserve the historic, endangered bloodlines of the Lippitt Morgan. Members enjoy activities and camaraderie with other members while exploring the versatility of the Lippitt Morgan.

Lippitt Morgans are a family of Morgans that trace back on all lines of their pedigree to 25 foundation horses. Lippitts have a wealth of the old fashioned doing blood behind them. They are America’s baroque breed and besides their handsome looks are known for being versatile athletes. This horse loves to have a job and forms extremely strong bonds with his people. They are easy keepers and extremely smart. These traits make them an ideal family horse and one that is happy to try as many varieties of adventure as you can think of.

Members receive an award winning Club newsletter and are able to advertise their horses with the Club. But membership is really about passion and shared camaraderie. Members enjoy supporting each other and hearing about what others are doing with their horses. The Lippitt Club has a thriving Facebook page and a website with lots of additional information.

Members do not need to own a Lippitt or even a horse. Several members enjoy learning and supporting a horse they remember from their youth and others enjoy supporting a horse they have seen again and again show himself to truly be a versatile American athlete.
