Club Members Excel in National Fine Arts
he Boys & Girls Clubs of Venice
(BGCV) year-round National
Fine Arts Program encourages
artistic expression among Club
members ages 6 to 18 through
drawing, painting, printmaking,
collage, mixed media and sculp-
ture which are displayed at local
and regional exhibits.
Using the interactive National
Fine Arts Program Guide, staff can
guide youth through the various art
T

projects with step-by-step instruc-
tions and instructional videos. A
panel of distinguished judges selects
works for inclusion in the National
Fine Arts Exhibit, which is displayed
throughout the ensuing year at
BGCA events, including the annual
National Conference.
Fine Arts pieces created in the
Club are submitted by BGCV mem-
bers of all ages in all mediums. The
winners from the BGCV’s local com-
petition are submitted to the regional
level and then to the national level
for competition. Out of the 4000+
Clubs and hundreds of thousands of
submissions, the BGCV has had 18
National winners!
