At home, my mother always taught us that each action that one takes determines who we will be in the future. She guided us through the best path she could give us, being the best mother, I could deserve, the best example to follow and even the best superhero in history. Among many things, she taught me respect for others; she taught me to listen to advice and to put it into practice. My memories with her end when I was eleven years old, but her teachings have been with me until the sun today. One of those teachings was that the best knowledge he could have access to is on paper, with a spine and several volumes. It was with her that I learned to love reading, and it was she who taught me not only to read but to think about what I had read, how she could help me or how she could help someone with it. I grew up having reading afternoons (some a bit forced), trying to learn from characters like Alfredo Espino, Paulo Freire, Gabriel García Márquez, Mario Vargas Llosa and Isabel Allende. I can say that thanks to this I now really enjoy reading and writing. I can say that all this improved that child's perspective.

Years later, I had the opportunity to live in this country. With my hopes set on my goals, I moved to a completely different environment, an urban life and much more accelerated than the one I once had, a new language, cultures and other traditions than mine. Although many times before I had had the joy of visiting new places, this would be the first time that my return home was not on the calendar. Although the first feelings about this were bitter, the desire to improve me academically was greater. Here, I have explored as much as I could, I try to adapt to the lifestyle that the city offers and, above all, I have not neglected my view of my personal goals, I try to focus each action on these and thus be even closer to what comes true.

I am Yahshua, a boy who loves nature and good books, and although he is still in search of himself, he is willing to enjoy as much as possible while he achieves it. I remember with great gratitude

where I come from and am

excited about where

I am going.
