RE/MAX predicted that Georgia housing will remain tight thanks in part to homeowners’ reluctance to put properties on the market until they have recouped more equity, that prices will continue to rise in the state, albeit more slowly, and that investor activity in Georgia will slow over the course of the year, clearing the way for “traditional” buyers seeking to purchase and occupy homes using conventional mortgages.
