ifficult challenges, the kind that you have no control over,
can drive you absolutely insane dwelling on them. Being a
Mom of a drug addicted Son proved that to me, so what
started out as a distraction to life’s craziness turned into a
love I do daily today!
Learning to twist wire into jewelry was therapy for me. Fo-
cusing on color, patterns and texture, I could get lost for hours with the end
result being a sense of peace that fed my soul.
Creating and designing turned something on in me I thought I’d lost. They
say there’s no greater joy than to use the gifts God gives you and have it
become something. This art was my something.
Besides the joy I found in the process I also felt every time I went shopping
for jewelry, I didn’t find what I liked or I could make that! I could share this
with people that are looking for something different other than the typical
stuff you’d find out there.
I’ve been designing jewelry for over 10 years now, quit my day job and am
finally putting all my energy into selling my art! Not because I need the
therapy. My son has turned a corner and is doing very well, but because
there are so many benefits in the creative element of jewelry making. It
touches my heart and like I said, feeds my soul. It’s meant to be shared and
I invite YOU to be a part of it!
I hope you can be inspired not to let your passion for what you love burn
out. Don’t set it aside to let the stress of life take over. We all need to do
things that fill our cups and our lives. Get your sparkle back, you deserve it!
I’m grateful for the Etsy community that gives us a place to share our pas-
sions and learn from each other. Seeing the creations of others helps me
put myself out there like I never thought I could and at the same time get
therapy, even if it is a little twisted.....
