Entrepreneurs and there have been days when I ’ ve made it look pretty ugly , but I wouldn ’ t trade what these last several years have taught me and my daughters .
There really was no other option for me than to do this work and the passion and purpose behind it is what has gotten me out of bed with a fiery grin on the mornings when I felt afraid , inadequate or just beaten down . I had a great deal of help . I didn ’ t do any of this on my own . No one does . We need each other to fulfill our calling and we all have one . I hope that my victories and mistakes can help and inspire others to follow their hearts when that inner voice is either whispering or screaming “ You HAVE to do this .”
Who was or who is your biggest mentor and Why ? I have had many mentors so it ’ s hard to choose one that has had a bigger effect than others . I think there a few , in particular , that stand out though : My daughters - They have made me want to be a better person . They are so far beyond my level of maturity at their age and their strength continues to blow me away , but they truly mentor me by keeping me connected to what is happening with young men and women at their age level . We talk about so many real issues and the insights they offer from their own perspective and the perspectives of their peers teaches me so much and lends me so much grace and understanding that I would not have . Trish Kapinos is Healer , Spiritual Mentor and Entrepreneur - Trish has inspired and empowered me in so many ways but one thing that stands out in my mind is the way she challenged me to show up for myself . She called me out at one point about showing up late and how I ’ m not really honoring myself or others when I do that and it really spoke to me about how I want to show up in the world . It caused me to not only stick to my word more seriously but also to be loving enough to hold others accountable as well . Christina Ammerman is an Energy , Healer , Entrepreneur and Spiritual Mentor - When Chris and I first started working together , I was in awe , but I was also terrified of her because of her powerful energy . She invited me to join her in a collaborative project and I knew that she was going to call up more out of me than I was asking of myself . It scared the hell out of me . For the first few months of our collaborative work together , I honestly looked for reasons to bail from our project , but deep down inside , I knew that this was a prime opportunity for me to move past some of my fears and self-doubts and allow myself to
