Magic Shots Are The Perfect Way To Bring Home The Magic
BY ALLYSON KOERNER
Leave it to Disney to create a fun ( and magical ) way to take photos across the parks . Magic Shots are a Disney PhotoPass exclusive . If available , you can ask a PhotoPass photographer to add “ magic ” to your photos . There are four different kinds of Magic Shots ( with over 40 different special effects available ).
PhotoPass photographers can capture the standard Magic Shot , a Tiny World Magic Shot , or a Super Zoom Magic Shot — and they can even take Animated Magic Shots .
MAGIC SHOT : A character or other “ magic ” is added .
TINY WORLD MAGIC SHOT : A 360-degree image puts you right in the middle of the action .
SUPER ZOOM MAGIC SHOT : The camera literally zooms in and out , capturing you and the surrounding area , producing a very cool video ( as well as still images ).
ANIMATED MAGIC SHOT : Still photos are altered with animated effects and music .
HOW DO YOU GET A MAGIC SHOT ? PhotoPass photographers are located throughout the parks at different locations to capture guests ’ magical moments . All you have to do is ask them if they can take some Magic Shots . It ’ s that easy !
Some photographers will automatically do it , but others aren ’ t always able to take Magic Shots . It ’ s best to always ask . Before taking your photos , the photographer will scan either your MagicBand , Disney MagicMobile Pass , or card-style ticket .
This way , when the photos are ready , they ’ ll show up in the My Disney Experience app . You can check out all of your Magic Shots under the “ Photos ” section in the My Disney Experience app .
You can also find all of the PhotoPass opportunities under the “ PhotoPass ” section in My Disney Experience . And if all else fails , the photographers are easy to spot as you walk around the park .
HOW MUCH DO MAGIC SHOTS COST ? Any park guest , regardless of Passholder status or resort reservation , can have a Magic Shot taken — for free . But if you want to download or print the images , you may have to pay .
