Zany Ride Vehicles in Magic Kingdom

BY MARIA SALERNO
Hunny Pot
An adventure through the Hundred-Acre Wood isn ’ t complete without a touch of fun sprinkled in . The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is one of the most family-friendly rides in WDW with some of the quirkiest touches , right down to the ride vehicle . Winnie refuses to spend an afternoon without his beloved honey , so it ’ s only fitting that you encounter the attraction in one big giant pot of ooey , gooey honey . Bold Imagineering makes this " hunny " pot bounce with Tigger and even float during a rainstorm !
Clamshell
Clamshells are the most versatile objects you can find under the sea . At least , according to Ariel . In The Little Mermaid , Ariel uses clamshells as her go-to purple top of choice , a makeup compact , musical instruments , and now … her very own ride vehicle . Providing the perfect vessel to take you on your adventure , the purple clamshells are the most adorably fitting ride vehicle for this nostalgic attraction . Keep your eyes peeled — there are over a dozen clamshells scattered throughout the Under the Sea scene ... aside from the one you ’ re sitting in .
Magic Carpet
“ I can show you the ( Walt Disney ) World ” from the top of The Magic Carpets of Aladdin . Every Disney fan likely wants a Magic Carpet of their own . But until Genie opens a Magic Carpet retail shop , you can climb aboard a real-life Magic Carpet in the heart of Adventureland , with levers and scarabs that allow you and your friends to control the flight . To make the experience aboard your carpet even more true to Jasmine and Aladdin ’ s flight , grab your sweetheart and ride during the nightly fireworks for unparalleled views of the pyrotechnics .
Elephant
When Walt Disney Studios produced a movie about a flying circus elephant , audiences around the world suddenly wanted to fly with Dumbo . Flying on Dumbo ’ s back grants fantastic vistas of New Fantasyland and Storybook Circus , but it ’ s the ride vehicle itself , with a lever for raising and lowering your elephant , that has guaranteed Dumbo a permanent spot in Fantasyland history . In fact , a single Dumbo the Flying Elephant ride car from Disneyland sold for $ 483,000 at auction in 2018 .
Teacups
Every time the teacups spin through Mad Tea Party , I ’ m transported back to childhood . Since opening day , the teacups still stand as , well , some of the maddest out-of-the-box ride vehicles to ever grace a theme park . Stepping into your very own teacup takes Disney fans of every age back to simpler times . Up to five guests can fit inside a single teacup , and you all work together to control how much you spin . The dizzier you leave this ride , the better !
