Make sure to smell the scents in this scene ; it smelled like Remy ’ s famous ratatouille to me .
The attention to detail continues to the end when you ’ re exiting the building . After dropping your 3D glasses , watch the floor : The sizes of the tile go from very large hexagons to tiny ones , indicating that you have now returned to the size of a human .
Imagineers play with this sense of scale throughout the ride to give you the experience of seeing the world from a rat ' s-eye view . PHOTO BY TINA CHIU
LET ' S RIDE ! The ride starts with a 3D screen on the rooftop of Gusteau ’ s Restaurant , where Remy and imaginary Gusteau debate what masterpiece to create . But don ’ t get too cozy : You and Remy both accidentally fall through the ceiling window straight into the kitchen !
Just like the film , the ride ends with a trip through Remy ' s own restaurant . PHOTO BY TINA CHIU
Never fear ! Linguini is there to help you escape into the pantry , which is filled with enormous-sized foods . Here , you ’ ll spot Remy , Emile , and his family of rats hiding in there , enjoying all the delicious foods .
Back in the kitchen , you ’ ll see Chef Skinner for the first time . Linguini uses his wet mop to sweep you underneath an oven to get you out of sight . You ’ ll get a little wet but will quickly dry up from the heat from the oven above .
You ' re sure to work up an appetite on this ride , so we recommend a stop at the newly opened La Crêperie de Paris . PHOTO BY COURTNEY REYNOLDS
Then you ’ re off to the dining room , but you ’ re still not out of danger . In fact , you ’ ve caught the attention of not just Chef Skinner but also Ego and all the guests . Quick ! Follow Linguini as he leads you to an opening in the wall . It ’ s a fullon race to escape Chef Skinner ’ s grasp before arriving at Remy ' s restaurant . Keep in mind : The escape from Chef Skinner is very thrilling but can also be scary for younger children .
In Remy ’ s kitchen , you ’ ll find all the rats working together to prepare the food . This is one of my favorite scenes . Prepare for a slight dip as you slide down a cheese grater before being propelled backward by the pressure from a champagne bottle .

Finally , you ’ ll wave goodbye to Remy and his rat family as they enjoy delicious meals with views of the Eiffel Tower behind them .
Fans of Ratatouille will not be disappointed with this charming and fun ride . From start to finish , the Imagineers stimulate all your scenes and fully immerse guests into the story . After riding , you ’ ll surely be hungry ( that pantry scene gets my tummy rumbling every time ), so I recommend making a stop at nearby La Crêperie de Paris . There you can enjoy both sweet and savory crepes to conclude your visit to the newly expanded France Pavilion .
