1Just because dinner is over does not mean your experience at Takumi-Tei has come to a close . As a parting gift , you will receive a glass vial of Konpeito , or sugar candies . These kawaii (“ cute ”) candies were originally a Portuguese invention , but they are now a staple of Japanese culture .

2Jock Lindsey ’ s Hangar Bar in Disney Springs has a direct relation to Indiana Jones , as Jock was Indy ’ s personal pilot . But if you visit the bar ( and order the Hovito Mojito , trust me !), you can spot connections to the Adventurers Club , Disney ’ s Planes , Jungle Cruise , Star Tours , Marvel , and Jurassic Park .

4Pizzafari in Animal Kingdom features six unique rooms with murals on the walls , ceilings , and even the floor . Each room has its own animalian theme : Upside-Down Room , Nocturnal Room , Four Seasons Room , Camouflage Room , Bug Room , and Home Room . And there ’ s a hidden Mickey in each !

3Under normal park operation , breakfast at ‘ Ohana is a character meal . This is the perfect way to meet Lilo and Stitch , plus spot Mickey in his adorable Hawaiian shirt . Though we ’ ve sometimes seen Lilo at Typhoon Lagoon , using an ADR for ‘ Ohana is the best way to secure a meet-and-greet .

5There ’ s a lot going on when you dine inside the Mexico Pavilion at San Angel Inn Restaurante . But if you ’ re not too busy waving at every passing boat from Gran Fiesta Tour , you may spot the simmering volcano to the right of the pyramid . Keep an eye on it ; every few minutes , it actually erupts !

6Babybel is the official cheese of WDW , but nowhere is it more integral to dining than at Woody ’ s Lunch Box , where you ’ ll spot largerthan-life cheese props and even cheese chairs . My personal fave ? The army man making his getaway with a cheese wheel . We could use a soldier like that at Smugglers Run .

9Restaurantosaurus in Animal Kingdom leans heavily into the dinosaur theme , but it ’ s more than what you see . Listen closely to some of the music that plays , including “ Sweet Dinosaur of Mine ” by Barnes and Barnes , “ Walk the Dinosaur ” by Was ( Not Was ), and “ It ’ s the End of the World as We Know It ” by R . E . M .

7McDonald ’ s has a long history with Disney ( people call it Mickey D ’ s , after all ), but the only remaining McDonald ’ s on WDW Property is near All-Star Sports . It just recently reopened after major reconstruction , now with massive solar panels , workout equipment , and plant-covered walls to clean the air and cool off the outdoor patio .

8Beast ’ s castle sits atop the Be Our Guest Restaurant , seemingly stretching to the sky from a mountaintop . But does it really ? Ah , tricky Imagineers , you ’ ve fooled us again . Using forced perspective , Imagineers have made the castle look menacingly tall , even though it is roughly the size of a twostory house .

10Hidden Mickeys aren ’ t the only

mice to keep your eyes peeled for . When you dine at Cinderella ’ s Royal Table , stop in the foyer and look up . There you will see Cinderella ’ s pals , Jaq and Gus , hanging out on a concrete ledge .
