Once my family books our Disney Resort hotel , we immediately start talking about dining . A trip to Walt Disney World is about the entire experience , not just the attractions . Choosing a resort based solely on dining options is a savvy way to sprinkle in some magic outside the parks .

Disney ’ s Coronado Springs Resort is a Moderate resort with the amenities of a Deluxe . This is thanks to the Gran Destino Tower , a 15-story building added to the property in 2019 . Although Coronado Springs is considered an Animal Kingdom Resort Area hotel , it is actually located right between Disney ’ s Animal Kingdom and Disney ’ s Hollywood Studios .
TWO-FOR-ONE RESORT The opening of Gran Destino brought 545 rooms and new , luxurious amenities to the property . Coronado Springs boasts 17 room types ( including eight in the Tower ), from a Standard that sleeps four to a Presidential Suite in the Tower that sleeps six . There are also Club Level rooms ( reopening Dec . 16 ).
For indulging in self-care , both Coronado Springs and Gran Destino have 24-hour fitness centers . La Vida Salon , next to the fitness center at Coronado , offers select spa and salon services .
With a 50-foot-tall Mayan waterfall , the Lost City of Cibola ( or Dig Site Pool ) is one of my favorites on property . The 123-foot-long waterslide is fun for kids and adults ( this one , at least ); the whole area seemingly drops you in the middle of your own adventure . You ’ ll also find three leisure pools throughout the resort .
However , the number one reason to stay here ? All the dining experiences . Many of the restaurants and lounges have a Spanish influence for the theming and sustenance , and the ambiance and flavors do not disappoint .
