AHOY ADVENTURERS When you step inside the lobby of Disney ’ s Yacht Club , you ’ ll first notice the bright and open area , nautical theme , and wonderful smell . Captain John , longtime greeter , might even be there to welcome you like an old friend .
The backstory for this resort is perfect . Captain Stormalong was out sailing when Hurricane Hanna washed him ashore . He decided to build a resort for people who are explorers , like himself . The wreck of his ship , the Albatross , can still be seen housing the waterslide at the Stormalong Bay pool .
BEAUTEOUS BERTHS In your resort room , the cream and navy tones , along with the brass and wooden accents , create an elegant , maritime feel . The curtains even have constellations — a subtle reference to how seafarers find their way . If you look closely , you ’ ll notice
