Critical to this design work , Imagineers worked closely with wildlife experts to ensure safe ( and edible ) environments for the animals living in each respective ecosystem . They studied each animal ’ s jump profile along with the proposed width of moats , wall textures , and natural vegetation to ensure each animal — and guest — would be safe throughout the attraction , a commitment to the well-being of every species involved .
A MARVEL OF IMAGINEERING I ’ m admittedly biased , but Kilimanjaro Safaris certainly qualifies as a marvel of Imagineering . Its brilliant design not only recreates an authentic safari experience but also maintains a safe environment for guests to enjoy and animals to call home .
