Disney Resort Hotel pools welcome swimmers every day of the year . Even if a mild chill falls over Florida in the winter , you can stay warm in the waters of your hotel pool — Disney keeps each one a tepid 82 ° Fahrenheit , year-round .

Step back in time at Disney ’ s BoardWalk Inn ’ s carnival-themed Luna Park Pool . The name is a nod to Coney Island ’ s Luna Park , and the area certainly feels like you ’ ve wandered into a 1920s amusement park . The 200-foot-long waterslide resembles an old wooden coaster — and previously spat guests out of a frightening clown mouth . ( Disney has since replaced the clown with some less-alarming Mickey and Friends artwork .)

Disney ’ s Yacht Club is even more sprawling . The 3-acre site is not just a pool ; it ’ s a miniature water park , with 750,000 gallons of water across all its features . Guests of both Yacht and Beach can enjoy this magical oasis , which includes whirlpool spas , a lifesize shipwreck , a lazy river , and a sand-bottomed pool — plus access to frozen adult beverages at Hurricane Hanna ’ s .
Disney ’ s Value Resorts may be the most affordable , but they offer a lot of , well , value . Case in point : The largest single pool at a Disney World Resort Hotel is the Big Blue Pool at Disney ’ s Art of Animation . This Finding Nemothemed pool contains 308,527 gallons of water — and previously had underwater audio featuring Marlin , Dory , and Nemo .

On a pool day , you probably appreciate some fun in the sun — but if you ’ ve got fair skin or sensitive eyes , you may prefer a relaxing , totally shaded spot underneath a waterfall . Just book a stay at the Walt Disney World Swan or Dolphin and head to the Grotto Pool . You might have to arrive early — these coveted spots go fast .
