CHARACTER MAGIC Crush
You ’ ll melt — and so will it — for the Chocolate Wave ! PHOTO BY DANNY SHUSTER
For dessert , we shared the Chocolate Wave , and it was every bit as luscious as you could hope . The warm flourless cake has a molten chocolate center that will delight any chocolate lover , and the contrast , both flavor and temperature , of the raspberry gelato makes this dish a real winner .
While I enjoyed the meal at Coral Reef , the real highlight of the experience was the setting . All around us , guests were transfixed by the unique sea life floating in and out of view . The food tastes good here , but as I think back on the experience , it is the restaurant ’ s special peek into an underwater world — accompanied by a peaceful soundscape and calm lighting — that stands out in my mind .

What ’ s it like to talk with a 150-year-old turtle ? Find out at Turtle Talk with Crush .
RIGHTEOUS ! RIGHTEOUS ! Disney magic makes it possible for audience members to have a live chat with an animated Crush . Guests sit in a theater with a window to the ocean . Crush swims over , finds some little dudes in the audience , and , with the help of a Cast Member , has a totally improvised chat .
FIND CRUSH IN THE BIG OL ’ BLUE at EPCOT World Nature near The Seas with Nemo & Friends . Turtle Talk with Crush lasts about 15 minutes . Check the My Disney Experience app for times . You can see Crush via standby queue or Lightning Lane .
DON ’ T CALL HIM MR . TURTLE ( that ’ s his dad ’ s name ), but do ask him if he speaks whale or if he ’ s seen Dory . Crush loves to exchange human turtle knowledge on topics like swimming , travel , and what guests in the audience are wearing . The show is different every time .
YOU CAN SEE JELLYMAN AND OFFSPRING ( AKA MARLIN & SQUIRT ) in the show if they come up in conversation . Visit the World Nature aquariums to see real turtles and reefs — and to find Nemo !
Of course , the windows into another world make the whole meal even more delicious . PHOTO BY DANNY SHUSTER
