The Little Mermaid on the Disney Wish

When the Disney Wish set sail last summer , two spectacular new Broadway-caliber shows debuted at the Walt Disney Theatre : Disney Seas the Adventure and Disney The Little Mermaid . The Little Mermaid is a first for Disney Cruise Line , which has previously tackled other princess-centric hits like Frozen , Beauty and the Beast , and Tangled . While Ariel ’ s tale was tailor-made to play at sea , it took more than 20 years to happen . It was worth the wait .

SAME STORY , NEW STORYTELLING Prior to the maiden voyage of the Disney Wish , we were invited on the ship for a media preview sailing . The cast and crew were still in rehearsals , but we saw about half of the performance and heard from some of the team working to bring the show to life .
