sofa bed that folds out , a seating area , and a kitchenette complete with a fridge , microwave , plates / cups , and utensils . The bathroom was spacious , clean , and sleek with sand tones .
This resort also offers standard hotel rooms and 1- or 2-bedroom villas to accommodate bigger traveling parties .
BEACH ACCESS One of the main highlights of this resort is the convenient beach access , so we immediately changed into our swimsuits after unloading our bags in our room . The beach is a quick walk past the pool area and has a wide strip of soft and walkable sand . Chairs , umbrellas , and canopies are available for rent , but we brought our own canopy , chairs , and beach toys since we drove there .
During the summertime , guests can even observe nesting sea turtles along the shores . We hope to return for another visit during that time .
POOL AND MORE After some time at the beach , we migrated over to the pool , which features a large lighthouse swirling slide and a fun pirate ship splash pad . My boys spent most of the time at the splash pad .
Alongside the pool , you ’ ll find Port Holes Miniature Golf , a nine-hole course . You can get complimentary rentals of equipment for activities such as mini golf , table tennis , billiards , board games , and shuffleboard at Eb & Flo ’ s Rentals . Bike rentals are available for a fee .
Similar to many Walt Disney World DVC resorts , the Vero Beach Resort has a Community Hall where families can enjoy movies , arts , and crafts .
Dining Options Due to COVID-19 safety protocols , the resort currently has one Quick-Service location and one Table-Service location open at this time .
Wine & Waves Market is the Quick- Service option and serves sandwiches , burgers , salads , and sweets to go so you can enjoy by the pool , on the beach , or in your room . We were even able to get some Dole Whip while we were there !
Wine & Waves Grill is the only Table- Service restaurant open at the time of publication . It has a more formal feel , with views of the beach and coastal ambiance . Since my boys were still younger during our visit , we skipped the more formal dining and brought food from the market to eat in our room .
During our stay back in 2018 , we experienced the other Table-Service ( currently not available ) for Goofy ’ s Beachside Character Breakfast . There we enjoyed a hearty breakfast with traditional food options and visits from Goofy and Donald dressed in their colorful beachwear .
Can ’ t Wait To Go Back Disney ’ s Vero Beach Resort is such a hidden gem ; I love how it combines the vibes of a small beachside city with the Disney magic and amenities we all know and love . We can ’ t wait to visit the next time we need a relaxing beach vacation !
