UNIFORMS OF YESTERYEAR Cast Member uniforms have received quite a few glow-ups over the years . A 1988 issue of Eyes & Ears revealed new uniforms for Grand Floridian and Space Mountain Cast Members . The intergalactic styles were billed “ as exciting as the ride itself .” I mean , there certainly are a lot of triangles happening .
Aside from all of the stunning ’ 80s hair , we ’ re really impressed with these far-out fits . Anytime astronaut Mickey comes along for the ride , we ’ re all for it . The current Space Mountain uniforms have decidedly fewer geometric accents , but they still convey the idea that you ’ re about to go on a futuristic adventure .
Over at the Grand Floridian , the costumes in 1988 were close to what we see today , drawing on the 1890s for inspiration . On your next stop to the Grand Floridian , try to spot the similarities between the 1988 uniforms and those worn by Cast Members today .
