The chandelier in the middle of Top of the World is spectacular. The cool monorail art
behind the bar perfectly fits the mood of the lounge. Tucked behind the bar is another
hidden treasure. There is a second rooftop viewing area that overlooks Bay Lake, with a
view of Epcot in the distance. The colors are all muted and comfortable. Walking into Top
of the World relaxes me. Plus, it is really hard to beat watching Wishes from a sofa with a
glass of wine in hand, while the soundtrack plays in the background.
Top of the World has a fairly standard drink menu for a Disney Lounge. My husband likes
the Kona Longboard, while I stick with a typical Riesling. While the appetizers vary, the
pretzel bread and sliders have always been winners for us. But the best dining experience
to be had at Top of the World is the Seven Layer Cake. Be warned: this can be an addictive
pleasure.
To maximize a visit to Top of the World, try for one of the nights with a fireworks show
featuring perimeter bursts for the best view. These spectacular bursts are part of both
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. This
could easily become a family holiday tradition!
