WDW Magazine December 2014 - Crowds at WDW | Page 26
For a really robust planning tool, head to
TouringPlans.com where you can get
detailed crowd projections, wait time
information, in-park time tables for
shows and operating hours, and even
make your very own plan to tour the
parks in the most effective way possible
(or choose an existing plan from their
lineup). It’s a small fee that’s very
worthwhile.
Apps are another great online tool that
you can use on-the-go – even in the
parks! My preferred apps are Lines for
wait times and MyDisneyExperience,
which offers everything from wait times
to park maps to dining reservations.
Traditional Tools
Guide books are one of the most popular trip planning tools for any travel destination,
WDW included! If you head to any book store, you’ll be able to find at least a few
books to help plan your trip. Companies like Lonely Planet, Birnbaums, and Fodors all
publish WDW or Orlando-area editions of their
guides. I can also suggest The Easy Guide to
Your First Walt Disney World Visit by Dave Shute
and Josh Humphrey and Dining at Walt Disney
World – The Definitive Guide by Paula Brown and
Richard Killingsworth (both available on Amazon).
You can also order a free vacation planning DVD
from WaltDisneyWorld.com that gives a pretty
great visual overview of what to expect at WDW –
even if it is a bit of a heavy handed sales tool.
WDW Magazine even put out a fun calendar this
year with tips and information to help you plan
your trip throughout the year!
