Dad’s 3 Common Sense Tips For Value Resorts If you are a first time visitor to Walt Disney World, there are a few things you might want to know before you get there. Dad’s Common Sense Tip #1 – Go Exploring There is so much to see and do around the Value Resorts that’s pretty easy to miss if you don’t go exploring. Cool things like dancing around the pools, Movies Under the Stars, jogging trails, playgrounds, and even arcades. Sometimes there are special activities for the kids (and the adults). Be sure to check with the front desk to see what’s going on. Dad’s Common Sense Tip #2 – The Food Courts Eating breakfast in Everything Pop (the food court at the Pop Century) is one of my favorite things to do at WDW. I know, I’m weird, but it’s good food, at a reasonable price (for Disney), and the people watching is some of the best ever. Oh and the Disney classic movies on the TV’s are downright Fun. The Food Courts at the Value Resorts offer a wide variety of choices. You can even get things like milk, fruit and snacks right in the Food Court. Check them out. Dad’s Common Sense Tip #3 – Dealing with the Crowds The Value Resorts are the biggest and busiest hotels at Walt Disney World. Over 20,000 people can be staying at the All-Star Resorts on a busy day. That leads to big crowds during certain times of the day. While you can’t avoid all the crowds, there are some things you can do to minimize the time waiting in line: • Buses at night – avoid the buses right after the big shows at the parks (nighttime fireworks, parades, and park closing time). Wait 30 minutes or so and the lines will be pretty much gone. • Buses in the morning – there is always a rush at the bus stops right about park opening time. Get to the bus area an hour before or wait a couple of hours after opening time. • Eat at odd times – the Food Courts get very busy especially at breakfast time. Eat early in the morning, mid morning, mid afternoon and late evenings to miss the big crowds. For more advice with Dad-ittude, visit dadsguidetowdw.com
