WDW Magazine August 2017: Value Resorts at WDW | Page 4

VALUE RESORTS AT WDW In April of 1994, the All-Star Sports Resort opened and a whole new class of Disney hotels was born: the Value Resorts. The Disney Value Resorts are the biggest, the brightest, and the glammest hotels at Walt Disney World! Welcome to the Value Resorts at WDW. This month’s issue kicks off with an in-depth look at each of the Value Resort complexes starting with the All-Star Resorts, the Pop Century Resort, and finishing with the Art of Animation Resort. In WDW 101, we start by looking at why the Value Resorts are a great choice for first time visitors to WDW. Then we look at if it’s worth it to book a Family Suite, and we also have 3 tips for staying at a Value Resort. The Enchanted Tiki Room is one of the favorite classic attractions in the Magic Kingdom and also our Best of WDW attraction of the month. The Old Key West Resort is the hotel this month, Restaurantosaurus in Animal Kingdom is the restaurant, and Frozen Fractal Gifts in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the gift shop. Wally D (our fearless mascot) is making his space debut as Ace Acorn! Have you ever thought about why kids love the Value Resorts? We have, and we share that this month. And be sure to download and share our puzzles, games, and coloring sheets.
