DISNEY’S HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS
The new Star Wars Land that is currently being built finally has a name: Star Wars:
Galaxy’s Edge! The largest land expansion in Walt Disney World history is set to open in
2019.
At the D23 Expo in Anaheim this past weekend, Bob Chapek announced that Toy Story
Land will be opening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios next summer! You will be able to
enjoy a family roller coaster called Slinky Dog Dash and Alien Swirling Saucers. A firm date
has not been announced, but I am predicting May 1, 2018- the 29th anniversary of the
opening of the park.
If you are a big fan of The Great Movie Ride at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, I hope you
have your trip planned before August 13th. At that time, the attraction will be closing for
good to make way for a new adventure: Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Guests
will be placed into the world of a Mickey Mouse Cartoon Short will amazing special
effects and a fun theme song.
