A PYROTECHNIC PULSE With the increased focus on projections in so many of Disney ’ s nighttime spectaculars , fireworks often feel like an enhancement rather than the main event . In fact , depending on the time of year , on some nights Disneyland Park ’ s nighttime castle shows are presented without fireworks , relying instead on projections , lighting , and music .
Luminous flips this script : Pyrotechnics are fundamental to the show and are carefully choreographed to enhance the emotional response to each segment .
