terribly common where I live in Canada , so I always try to order them at Disney World . For me , the side dishes on this plate deserve just as much focus as the fish . It ’ s not a main with two sides ; it ’ s three excellent components making one delicious plate .
Last but not least is the roasted jackfruit pita wrap . Make sure you grab extra napkins with this one because it ’ s overflowing with veggie goodness . If you ’ ve never had roasted jackfruit before , it ’ s a little tough to describe . The “ meat ” of the fruit doesn ’ t have a very strong flavor , so it really takes on whatever seasonings and spices you add to it , and the slightly fibrous texture holds up well to cooking .
Jackfruit is a popular ingredient in many meatalternative dishes since it doesn ’ t completely break down when cooked and absorbs other flavors so well . If you are vegetarian or vegan , you ’ ve probably encountered jackfruit in meatless burger patties or as a substitute for pulled pork . As an omnivore myself , it never quite replaces the real thing , but of the many meat alternatives out there , I do find jackfruit to be one of the most versatile options .
