Walt Disney World Coronado Springs Resort | Resort Tour
With Construction & Food Locations
What caused this dramatic about-face in my stance on Moderates? Maybe I’m getting older
and can finally appreciate the more relaxing pace they provide. Perhaps the addition of a
hot tub to the pool area won me over. Then again, my well-documented gluttony for
Mexican cuisine might have something to do with it. In any case, the stars aligned and while
I’m still not one hundred percent sold on the relative value of the Moderates, I am certain
that the Coronado Springs Resort is one of the finest hotels I’ve ever stayed in – at WDW,
or anywhere.
My adventure with the Coronado Springs began with a bounceback offer during my last
stay at Disney’s Pop Century Resort which was too good to refuse. The only problem was
that I had to select a moderate hotel to stay in. It came down to the mellow vibes and crisp
beignets of Port Orleans French Quarter or the colorful lakeside and flavor fiesta promised
at Coronado Springs. My final decision was rooted in logic – Coronado Springs has slightly
nicer amenities since it’s a convention resort, but I wasn’t yet convinced I’d chosen wisely.
