their feet in the sand - or lay in a lounge chair or hammock. If you were to walk around the
perimeter of Barefoot Bay, you’ll end up getting your exercise - it’s a 1.4 mile trek. Truth? I
walk enough steps in the theme parks every day to not warrant additional mileage on my
shoes but if you’re visiting and want to train for runDisney or simply want to enjoy the view,
it’s ideal.
If you’re used to staying in Value Resorts and think the buildings are shorter than normal,
you’d be right. Each of the Villa buildings is only two-stories tall. Now, you can take that as
both good or bad. The good? There’s no elevator and, if given the top floor, it’s only a few
steps. The bad? There’s no elevator. If you have a disability and need wheelchair assistance,
please make sure you have the Cast Member taking your reservation make note and
request a bottom floor.
While I’m running the numbers, let’s chat bus stops. Each Villa area has its own. And, while
that may sound ideal (less people waiting for the bus at your stop), it can make for some
issues, especially during peak travel times. My family and I stayed at CBR last April and
adored the look and feel of the property. But, what I wasn’t in love with was the fact that,
even in a premium room Villa area, the motor coaches passed us by, compliments of each
being at capacity. It might not be a deal breaker for you, but compliments of road tripping
to the resort, we ended up driving to the parks for the rest of our stay.
Alright, now that I’ve given you the basics, off to the fun!
