I’ll note that in the next week I never saw such horrible lines again so it must have been a
case of wrong place and time – because I visited the front desk a lot – to assist with a
Disney Dining Plan credit error, to buy Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party tickets, and
even to verify the process for checking our bags on our last day.
After a wait that seemed to take forever, we were handsomely rewarded with a new
refurbished room (more on that shortly) in the perfect location. And our Cast Member at
check-in noticed it was our anniversary and made sure to get us celebration buttons. Later
in the trip, we were even surprised with an in-room gift for the occasion on behalf of the
hotel. We felt totally pampered.
LAGO DORADO
Disney’s Coronado Springs is built on the shores of Lago Dorado – a small lake with a circuit
of just over a mile around. That can make getting around tricky. Unlike at some Disney
Resorts where there’s one truly ideal location for your room to be, each area at Coronado
Springs has its perks. You should carefully consider what’s most important to your family
when making room requests (and remember – requests are not guarantees, but they never
hurt!).
