Disney World Hollywood Studios part 5: Star Wars Watto's Grotto! SnopsTube Video This store offers practically anything and everything related to Star Wars – including apparel, fine art, collectibles, toys, LEGOs, stuffed plush, housewares, books and the opportunity to create your own customized Lightsabers, Droids, and personalized name tags. For the personalized name tags, you can choose to have your name written in English or Aurebesh, the 26 letter alphabet used to transcribe Basic, the most prominent language in the galaxy and where you’re from including your favorite planets from the Star Wars films. The first time I visited Watto’s Grotto, I saw a Cast Member operating an iPad-controlled BB-8. Not only was this incredibly tempting to purchase right there on the spot, but being able to give it a try for myself and experience how it works first hand really added to the overall experience of my time in the store. Continuing with the highly interactive elements of this store, a walking, talking, lightsaber-waving Yoda was also on display during another one of my trips to Watto’s Grotto. This collectible Yoda can be seen in the video above! Regardless of who your favorite Star Wars characters are, there is certainly plenty of merchandise here to fulfill your Star Wars fix. Even without purchasing a single item here, getting to walk around this area, set in Tatooine, and check out the authentic, detailed props is tremendously entertaining alone. Yet another fun (and free) thing to do here is to ask a Cast Member if you can try the “face in a hole” experience, where a picture of your face is superimposed on the body of any Star Wars characters, no need to necessarily purchase the image!
