Designed to simulate some of Indiana Jones epic movie adventures, this 30-minute live
action stage show will have you holding your breath as Indy and his beloved Marion
Ravenwood escape multiple dangerous situations. The show opens with Indiana Jones
rappelling from the ceiling and escaping spears and booby traps in an attempt to secure the
golden idol. Suddenly a giant boulder comes barreling towards Indy and just moments
before he is squashed into a pancake, a director yells, “cut”!
The director acts as the narrator as he fills you in on how different sequences are filmed.
Not only do you get a look at incredible stunts being performed by some very athletic and
extremely talented stunt actors, you also get a sneak peak at how some of the stunts are
executed. You’ll also learn how they create fight sequences safely. This show is jam-packed
with stunts, explosives, and even humor as you transition between two movie sets.
Arrive at the theater early and you just might get the chance to be a part of the action!
Before the actual show begins, the casting director selects a variety of adults to appear in
the Cairo scene for the second half. This is the perfect attraction for a wide range of people,
especially since there are no height restrictions. If you are really into movie magic or special
effects, it’s definitely interesting to see how they make things seem so realistic.
If you have the opportunity to see the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! at night, I
highly recommend it. It’s a much different experience as the sun sets when the evening sky
creates a powerful backdrop for the Cairo scene. Also, if you’re looking to “plus” your
experience, stick around after the show and say hi to some of the stunt performers. Our
favorite “Marion Ravenwood” is Jacqueline and my daughter looks forward to seeing her
each trip.
