Photo courtesy of Kimberly Masimore GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN DISNEY HISTORY BY KIMBERLY MASIMORE In keeping with the theme of this month’s issue about Disney’s Hollywood Studios, our look back in Disney history takes us to an attraction that truly was a nice ﬁt for the park. Disney’s Backstage Pass was a 30-minute walking tour located on Mickey Avenue right beside the Studio Backlot Tour. It opened along with the park on May 1, 1989. There were several versions of this tour featuring diﬀerent movies, but I am going to focus on the tour called Backstage Pass to 101 Dalmatians. This attraction holds a special place in my heart as I was honored to be an attractions tour guide during my participation in the Disney College Program in the spring of 1997.
