4K World of Color Celebrate ! Ultimate Wide Angle Ver. Disneyland Diamond Celebration ! tokyomickey877 Video History On June 11, 2010, a brand new nighttime spectacular debuted at Disney’s California Adventure. World of Color reportedly cost $75 million to create, and took over a year to install in Paradise Bay (which was drained for construction between 2008-2009). Its name was inspired by Disney’s famous Wonderful World of Color television series and the Sherman Brothers song of the same name. Over the years, several versions of World of Color have been created under subtitles such as World of Color: Celebrate! and World of Color: Winter Dreams. Over in Florida, Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular is a relatively new experience… sort of. It’s actually the evolution of an earlier pyrotechnics show, simply titled Symphony in the Stars, which featured fireworks set to John William’s musical score from Star Wars and was in use on and off for several years during special events such as Star Wars Weekends. The newest version, Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular, commenced nightly showing in December 2015 as part of Disney’s Hollywood Studios offerings to build hype for the new Star Wars themed land set to open in a few years. But that’s not all for the story of this nighttime spectacular – in summer 2016, a new version of the show will debut and is meant to be the largest fireworks show in Disney history. It will utilize not only fireworks, but also projection mapping to show scenes from the various Star Wars films.
