The DHS Vinylmations
Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been represented by two different Vinylmations in two
separate releases…
Walt Disney World was celebrating its 40th Anniversary and Disney decided to release an
open window Vinylmation series, and one of those Vinylmations was based on DHS. With
The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights ending its longtime run at DHS.
Later that year, Disney released Park 6, and wouldn’t you know it, another Hollywood
Studios Vinylmations. This time it was a Clapboard design that was designed by Caley Hicks.
Since 2011, Disney hasn’t made any more Disney Hollywood Studios Vinylmations, but that
doesn’t mean the park hasn’t been well represented.
DHS Park Attractions Vinylmations
The Park Series Vinylmation releases have been good to Disney’s Hollywood Studios over
the years. Disney has released a number of different Vinylmations.
The Tower of Terror has the distinct honor of being represented by more Vinylmations than
any other in the park. Way back in 2010, Disney released the Tower of Terror Vinylmation
as part of Park Series 6.
However, the most unique Tower of Terror Vinylmation release was the Elevator Ghost Set
from 2013. The set was blind boxed and featured a regular set and a variant set. The variant
set is still one of the most limited Vinylmation releases ever made at a mere 150 sets.
Other attractions that have been represented through the years include Catastrophe
Canyon, Rock-n-Rollercoaster, Muppet*Vision 3D, and the Sorcerers Hat.
