Mrs. Shobhana Bhartia is the Chairperson and Editorial Director of HT Media, one of India’s most
preeminent publicly listed media companies. She is
also currently serving, as the Pro-Chancellor of the
Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences. Shobhana
Bhartia also served as a member of the Committees
in Parliament on Energy, Women Empowerment, and
Human Resource Development.
Conferred with numerous awards and recognition
for her commitment and excellence towards building
and shaping an all encompassing global economy,
including Global Leader of Tomorrow from the World
Economic Forum, Davos 1996, and Entrepreneur of
the Year, 2005, from Ernst and Young, she was decorated with the Padma Shri, Government of India’s
National Award for outstanding contribution in a
particular field, in the year 2006.

Siti Nurhaliza is a Malaysian singer, songwriter, record producer, television presenter
and businesswoman. Her family was tight
on finance and she helped her mother
selling “kuih” all around the village. Since
her debut, she has won a number of international singing competitions. She had
been crowned as Voice of Asia in 2002 after
winning the Grand Prix Champion title
at the Voice of Asia singing competition
which was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan. To
date, she has garnered more than 200 local
awards as well as international awards. Siti
Nurhaliza cannot be only called a singer.
She is a social icon of the Malaysian society.
