Staff Spotlight : Stryker Branch Manager , Connie Aeschliman
1 . Tell us a little about yourself ! I grew up in Jewell Ohio . We have 4 children and 6 grandchildren , & 2 cats . I have been blessed with beautiful friends and I love getting together with them . I adore walking , reading , and listening to my books on Hoopla ! Spending time outdoors brings me peace and helps me refocus .
2 . What have you enjoyed about being WCPL Stryker Branch Manager ?
The people ! Our patrons , our community , my staff , my WCPL “ library family ” are what has made my job such a pleasure . I have met , worked with and made many friends over my 29 years of being employed at the library . It is such an honor to serve our village and beyond . 3 . What is a service that the Williams County Public Library offers that you wish the community were more aware of ? We offer homebound services to those who are not able to come into the libraries . Hoopla is also a wonderful service that offers so much . And all of this is free ! 4 . Favorite book ? Great Small Things by Jodi Picoult ( just to mention one among many !) 5 . What events are you most excited to have at the Stryker Branch Library in the upcoming months ? We have so many exciting programs scheduled for June , including the “ DinoMoble ” from Cleveland , Jim Basketball Jones , Dumpster Drummers and my favorite , the Exotic Zoo ! We will also be having a “ Bee-Tea ” senior citizen tea , and a “ Mommy and Me ” jewelry making class . July is the month for author / illustrator children ’ s classes .
