1. Tell us a little about yourself. I was born and raised in Napoleon, OH. I have always been an avid reader, but I also like technology, science, archeology, history, and animals. I came to Williams County Public Library
Silent Book Club: December 2nd at 5PM.
for the opportunity to return to youth librarianship. I was an adult services librarian for almost 13 years and wanted to pursue my passion of working with kids and teens again. 2. What are you most excited about as the new Youth Services Manager at Bryan Main Library? I am most excited about getting to know the families and young people in out community and finding new ways to make the library a welcoming, engaging place for everyone. I love creating programs that spark curiosity, encourage creativity, and help children and teens discover new interests. I ' m also looking forward to working with our wonderful staff, building on the great things already happening, and bringing fresh ideas to Youth Services. 3. What is a service that Williams County Public Library offers that you would like to highlight? Definitely the Hoopla and Libby apps, which both allow people to access books and audiobooks. Hoopla also provides access to movies and music from home. With winter on the way, these digital services are a great way to get materials and stay entertained when the weather says“ not today” for travel. 4. Favorite book? Goodness! I have to choose? Favorite childhood book is Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine. It was the first book I ever bought with my own money from the Scholastic book fair.( I may or may not have saved up my milk money for weeks!) Favorite classic is Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. Favorite current read is either For Whom the Belle Tolls by Jaysea Lynn or Just Stab Me Now by Jill Bearup. It’ s so hard to choose!
5. Any upcoming WCPL programs you’ re looking forward to? I am looking forward to Breakfast with Santa, Literacy Unlocked, and 2027’ s Fountain City Fandemonium! I was disappointed to miss this year’ s Fandemonium after hearing so many wonderful things about it, so I’ m especially excited for 2027. I’ m excited to experience these events and see our community come together to celebrate reading, creativity, and fun!
