BRYAN MAIN-ADULT SERVICES
Bryan Main had a very exciting year in programing. We partnered with the United Way of Williams County to celebrate 20 years of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library being offered to residents of Williams County. In March, we also partnered with The Ability Center and the Williams County Board of Developmental Disabilities for an event to help others discover services and organizations in Williams County that champion disability awareness in our community. One of the tables at the event was for We Be Book’ N, WCPL’ s very own book club for adults with disabilities led and established by our Catalog Manager, Jonell Combs. We Be Book’ N is one of 6 book clubs offered at Bryan Main. We’ re proud to offer a variety of book clubs on different genres and for a range of ages. Stop in to a meeting and join a club!
Our annual events were a huge success. Lots of books found new homes from the Friends of the Bryan Library Used Book Sale in June. Fountain City Fandemonium saw an amazing increase in numbers with 735 attendees in 2025, compared to over 500 attendees in 2024. Fandemonium is a celebration of fandoms of all kinds. The free event offers a Costume Contest, special guests, photo ops, and fun activities, along with booths for vendors, authors, and artists that the public can browse and purchase books, memorabilia, and art from.
Our most loved programs are ones that celebrate the arts, such as the Cookies and Canvas program along with the Build Your Own Bouquet event. These programs give patrons an artistic outlet, and end with beautiful creations for attendees to take home. We also hosted a small concert done by Victor Samalot and his wife called Que Bueno. This concert embarked on a lively journey through Latin music with guitarist Victor Samalot and bassist / vocalist Bobbi Holt! The event racked up rave reviews from attendees!
November kicked off with creativity and color as the Black Swamp Art Guild launched their annual art exhibit at the library. This vibrant display showcases the incredible talent of local artists from Bryan, Ohio, and the surrounding area. We celebrated the holidays with an Open House, before and after the town’ s Santa Arrival Parade. People could stop in to warm up with a cup of hot chocolate and kids could pick out a FREE BOOK to take home!
