Long Journey Home Show Time: DJ / Host: Sunday, 12-1 pm Rob Howes The Long Journey Home is a trip through the history of country blues, bluegrass and folk music, with a special focus on artists from the Tar Heel state. The show features a mix of (mostly) acoustic music recorded by musical pioneers such as Mississippi John Hurt, Etta Baker, Blind Boy Fuller and Doc Watson, along with newer interpretations by artists such as Jim Lauderdale, the Carolina Chocolate Drops, Tony Rice, Balsam Range and others. I try to keep listeners current on upcoming concerts, and give tickets away to upcoming festivals. Join me for that Long Journey Home every Sunday at 12 pm! Sunday Dynamo Joe Dynamo is back again (after a two year hiatus from doing his old Joe & Joe's Local show with his son, Joe Norkus, of indie rock infamy)! Yes, he's here to pay more dues, for volunteering as a substitute dj was the lure that drew him in, with a true dedication to stimulating, comforting, and even sometimes enlightening the assembled, be they anywhere on the world wide web, to our own majestic locality, The Paris Of The Piedmont. We've got him again, at WCOMlp, despite it all, his miscellaneous ramblings & philosophies, and such, his explorations into everything music, from Broadway to the Bowery, to just around the corner, and beyond, somewhere over the rainbow, across that champagne supernova in the sky! Show Time: DJ / Host: Sundays 1-3 pm Joe Dynamo
