Installation Dinner 2013, Honourable Artillery Company
T
he dinner was held in the Long Room of the HAC,
a beautiful venue that is steeped in history, and the
service was held at the Priory Church of
St Bartholomew the Great. The Master had chosen the
dinner venue because of the links he and his family have
with the HAC – his daughter held her wedding reception
there and he served in the active service unit as a signaller,
commissioned as a Lieutenant. Since his uniformed
service he has been an active member of the HAC. The
HAC theme was completed by the Deputy Master parading
with the Pikemen and Musketeers and wearing his fine
scarlet uniform to the Dinner. The Master’s theme of
ubiquity also has a link to the Royal Artillery whose motto
is “ubique”.
The Installation of the new Master is the first opportunity
for the Company to see what the coming year will be like
and it looks like this will be a very busy year. The waiting
