MONITOR Installation Dinner 2013, Honourable Artillery Company T he dinner was held in the Long Room of the HAC, a beautiful venue that is steeped in history, and the service was held at the Priory Church of St Bartholomew the Great. The Master had chosen the dinner venue because of the links he and his family have with the HAC – his daughter held her wedding reception there and he served in the active service unit as a signaller, commissioned as a Lieutenant. Since his uniformed service he has been an active member of the HAC. The HAC theme was completed by the Deputy Master parading with the Pikemen and Musketeers and wearing his fine scarlet uniform to the Dinner. The Master’s theme of ubiquity also has a link to the Royal Artillery whose motto is “ubique”. The Installation of the new Master is the first opportunity for the Company to see what the coming year will be like and it looks like this will be a very busy year.
